Kickstarter – “We The People” American Flag Morale Patch

Finished Patch will be produced in PVC.

I am a bit of a self admitted patch whore.  I know that I am not the only one.  I am starting this venture to get the ball rolling on a much larger scale of creating morale patches for the masses that will be offered at a reasonable price.

This patch shown in the image is created as a “prototype” and was created with a vinyl printing process.  The production model will be created as a PVC patch and will be made in the good ‘ole U.S.A. by Combat-SWAG.  The final production version will look the same, but will likely have minor differences due to the differing production processes.

The goal of this Kickstarter Campaign is to raise enough capital to fund the production of a first run of the patch, including any shipping and handling costs, color changes, and fees associated with running a Kickstarter Campaign.

I have already designed the Vector file and it is ready to send to Combat-SWAG once the funding is complete.

If you choose the advertising feature as a reward, please email me with any questions first to see if you are a good fit.  As long as your company or organization is related to the firearms or tactical industries, you should be fine.  I will not advertise for any group that I deem to bring negativity upon my webpage or against the firearms/tactical industries or that have absolutely nothing to do with it.

Aero Precision AR15 Gen 2 Lowers

Aero Precision has designed and have now released their AR15 Gen 2 Lower Receivers.

The Gen 2 lowers feature a nylon tipped upper tension screw that will allow the user to fine tune the fit of the two receivers.  The tension set screw is inserted in the grip tang of the lower and will provide a tight fit with any standard AR15 upper.

The Gen 2 lowers also feature an increased magwell flare to allow for easier insertion of magazines while providing a sleeker look.

Though Aero Precision usually has a very wide variety of color finish options, the Gen 2 lower will initially only come in anodized black.

Currently these features are only available in the AR15 standard lower receivers, though will be available in other configurations in the near future.

The Gen 2 lower retails for $90.00 and can be ordered through their webpage at:

Shadow Valley Weapons SVCOMP 5.56

The Shadow Valley Weapons Comp, or SVCOMP 5.56, definitely stands out in appearance from other comps on the market today.

The SVCOMP 5.56 is sized for the .223/5.56 platform with a 1/2×28 TPI thread, an overall length of 2.25″ and a diameter of 0.850″.  The SVCOMP 5.56 is made out of 4142 Chromoly Steel with a magnesium phosphate finish.

Aside from the functionality of reducing recoil and eliminating muzzle rise, the SVCOMP 5.56 offers some additional features.

The guys over at Shadow Valley Weapons claim that SVCOMP 5.56 offers zero muzzle rise….I was a little skeptical about “zero”, but was impressed with the below video:

If you take a look at the photo at the top of the page you will notice that the 12 O’Clock position is void of any port holes.  This is to allow the flash to be directed away from the shooters line of sight as not to lose night vision or sight picture.

The SVCOMP 5.56 also features a glass break feature on the tip of the comp made from S7 Tool Steel.  Though some may criticize having a glass breaking feature on the bang end of a gun, if used in a controlled manner, while being cognizant of backstop, this should be a non-issue.  Though it is not for everyone, the feature is still there.  All firearms safety fundamentals should apply here.

Here is the glass breaking feature in use:

Lastly, the SVCOMP 5.56 offers a wire cutter feature where the comp itself acts as an indexing point and the fired bullet would actually be doing the cutting.  This is not something that should be done for the first time in a hostile environment.  This technique will take some time and ammo to get a hole large enough to fit through and the user needs to realize that metal fragments from the fence will likely become an additional projectile in an unknown direction, so use proper PPE, i.e. safety glasses, when doing this.
