High Speed Gear (HSG) has three new products for 2014 to outfit your tactical kit.
The Extended Pistol TACO Universal Mag Pouch (MSRP $28.00) will fit most high-capacity handgun and sub-gun magazines as well as other equipment such as large flashlights and collapsible batons.
The HSM TACO High Capacity Rifle Mag Pouch (MSRP $35.00) is designed to secure high capacity rifle and Saiga-style shotgun magazines as well as many LE/MIL handheld radios.
In a joint venture with NOLATAC and HSG, the NOLATAC M3T – Multiple-Mission Medical TACO (MSRP $75.00) allows for the customization of your medical kit while using various manufacturers inserts and trays. All three products are available in multiple color patterns.
The color pattern of Kryptek Highlander is not currently available, however all HSG kit will be available in this pattern on a limited run in February 2014.
Lewis Machine and Tool (LMT) has introduced a new AR stock for 2014. The DMR buttstock is adjustable by two positions on the extension tube, fits all Mil-Spec carbine buffer tubes, the cheek-well height is adjustable by 45 positions and the length of pull is also adjustable by 45 positions. The DMR has a concealed rail for attaching a mono-pod, 4 QD swivel sockets, a SOPMOD cheek rest, and a SOPMOD rubber plate. The retail price for the DMR has not yet been set.
New for 2014 from Houlding Precision Firearms is the upgraded HPF-15 UBR AR-style rifle chambered in .223/5.56. The receivers are CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum billets with tight tolerances. Each rifle has been upgraded with a HPF-Irish Curse Muzzle Brake, the HPF-CMXHandguard, and the BCG is now finished with a self-lubricating HSS (Houlding Super Slick) coating. The UBR is a mid-length gas impingement system with a 16 inch barrel, single stage trigger, and includes Magpul furniture. The UBR’s retail price has yet to be announced.
For 2014, Leupold has launched the next-generation of their red dot sight, the DeltaPoint 2. Retaining features of the first-generation DeltaPoint such as Motion Sensor Technology that turns the illumination on when motion is detected, the second generation DeltaPoint 2 will now include manual brightness adjustment and a master on/off switch for transportation or storage.
Eye Safety Systems (ESS) has announced their new for 2014 eyewear, the Rollbar Tactical. The Rollbar Tactical has Mil-Spec ballistic rated lenses and has 3 sets of lenses included in Clear, Smoke Grey, and Mirrored Copper. There are a total of 5 shades/colors of lenses currently available and Polarized lenses can be expected mid-Spring 2014. The ESS logo on the arms of the glasses are also available in a subdued option for tactical operations. The Rollbar Tactical retails for $115.
New for 2014 from EOTech is their Laser Battery Cap and X320 Handheld Thermal Imager.
The Laser Battery Cap is available as a full sight package or as a replacement battery cap for an existing 512 or 552 holographic sights. The 512LBC is red laser only and retails for $285.00 alone or $729.00 for a complete sighting system. The 552LBC incorporates both red laser and IR and retails for $429 alone or $979 as a complete sighting system.
The X320 Handheld Thermal Imager is a compact package that allows the adjustment of the seen image by the turn of a dial and is reasonably priced for Law Enforcement. The X320 retails for $3499.00.
New for 2014, Diamondhead-USA has announced their Diamondhead “T-Brake” Muzzle Brake. The Diamondhead-USA “T-Brake”, which is triangular in shape, was designed specifically to create a greater surface area on the bottom of the brake for the gas to apply downward pressure. This premium-grade muzzle brake is machined out of 4140 steel and will be available in February 2014.
Crye Precision, known for their camo patterns and tactical kit has entered the firearms market for 2014. Crye has developed the Six12 bull-pup design shotgun. This double-action, striker-fire shotgun holds 6 rounds of 12 gauge ammunition in a removable rotating cartridge. The Six12 will also become available as an add-on option for an AR-style rifle and can be used as a breaching option with the 12.5” shotgun barrel with a 10.5” rifle barrel for clearance. Military and Law Enforcement can expect the Six12 to be available in the winter of 2014 with the civilian market to follow.
For 2014, Burris introduced the new AR-1X Prism Sight for fast CQB shooting in competition or tactical environments. Featuring a highly visible reticle suitable for CQB operations, it also provides trajectory compensation out to 600 yards. The illuminated reticle is available in red, green, or black. The black reticle is functional with or without battery power. The AR-1X runs on a single AA battery with a 1,000 hour runtime and is night vision compatible. The AR-1X retail price is to be determined.
Adams Arms has announced their COR (Competition Optic Ready) Rifle for 2014. This AR-style rifle features a 16.5” rifle length ultra-light barrel, a low-mass skeletonized BCG, a Hiperfire 24C competition trigger, and a VooDoo Innovations Jet compensator. As pictured, the COR Rifle can be purchased in a Kryptek camouflage pattern for $140 over MSRP. The COR Rifle retails for $1995.00.
