The following is an announcement from American Defense Mfg:
American Defense MFG® (ADM) announced the release of their “ADM4” receivers and complete rifles. This design variant is purely aesthetic in nature. These lower receivers will retain their patented, fully ambidextrous controls that are intuitive in design and function. Perfect for retro builds (with modern features), NFA Engravings, and is also available to other manufactures wanting ambidextrous controls for their brand. Available now via their dealer network and direct from American Defense Mfg®.
ADM4 billet 7075-T6 lower receiver features a Type III Teflon impregnated hard-coat anodized finish, outfitted with their patented ambidextrous magazine release, ambidextrous bolt catch and release, and their dimpled take down and pivot pins. The trigger guard is ready for winter gloves without manipulation. Radii and chamfers throughout make this billet lower a marvel that stretches the capabilities of modern production CNC manufacturing. A 20-degree competition style mag well is concealed in the design, allowing lightning fast magazine changes. An integral upper/lower tension adjustment screw allows the end user to compensate for tolerance between your upper receivers and your favorite lower.
A lot of times I am asked about the parts that make up a rifle build, so I am revamping a series of “Build Breakdowns” that explain what parts were used to put a certain rifle together. Each part or grouping of parts will be listed below the image and will be hyperlinked to the Rainier Arms website, or another site if not available on Rainier, where you can learn more about the parts or to make a purchase.
This build focuses on a Primary Weapons Systems Build that I recently put together. The build started as a separate upper and lower receiver set that were mostly complete from the factory.
Cross Machine Tool has released the new UHP15-SSA Lower Receiver. SSA stands for “Smooth Side Ambi”, which features all of the standard Ambidextrous features of the UHP15A Lower Receiver without branding and logos present on the left side of the lower.
The purchaser can opt to have Cross Machine Tool to laser engrave a personalized SBR or Trust Information on the receiver. The laser engraving is at a depth of .003″ which is in line with BATFE requirements and can be placed on either the right side of the receiver above the trigger pin hole or on the bottom of the trigger guard.
The 9.9 oz UHP-15SSA is CNC machined from 7075-T6 billet aluminum and is finished in Type III, Class II Anodized Black. The UHP-15SSA features standard diameter trigger and hammer pin holes, “Safe” and “Fire” selector markings, an Integrally Machined Trigger Guard, a Flared Magwell that is compatible with USGI and PMAGs, an Upper Receiver Tensioning Screw and has a Bolt Catch Screw included.
The MSRP of the UHP15-SSA is $229.00, but is available at an Introductory Price of $199.00. Engraving is an extra $30.
Aero Precision has designed and have now released their AR15 Gen 2 Lower Receivers.
The Gen 2 lowers feature a nylon tipped upper tension screw that will allow the user to fine tune the fit of the two receivers. The tension set screw is inserted in the grip tang of the lower and will provide a tight fit with any standard AR15 upper.
The Gen 2 lowers also feature an increased magwell flare to allow for easier insertion of magazines while providing a sleeker look.
Though Aero Precision usually has a very wide variety of color finish options, the Gen 2 lower will initially only come in anodized black.
Currently these features are only available in the AR15 standard lower receivers, though will be available in other configurations in the near future.
Battle Arms Development, the company most famously known for the Battle Arms Development-Ambidextrous Safety Selector, aka BAD-ASS, has really blown up in what they are currently offering to include the Enhanced Take Down Pins, Lower Receivers, and Barrels, Receiver Sets and OIP complete rifle to come out soon.
This is definitely a company that is investing in their R&D and one that should be kept on your radar.
Check out their NEW Webpage with all of their current and up-and-coming offerings.
Aero Precision has released a new special edition 7075-T6 forged aluminum lower receiver, commemorating the Second Amendment. This lower is matte black hard-coat anodized and features an attractive 2A logo on the right side of the magazine well. The rear take-down pin detent hole is threaded for a 4-40 set screw to keep the install of the end plate and buffer tube “flying detent” free. The 2A lower receiver will work with all standard AR-15 parts, accessories, and magazines.
